Food Service Utility (Full Time)
About The Position
The Food Service Utility maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. This position is located at Felician University at Rutherford, 223 Montross Ave, Rutherford, NJ 07070. The schedule is Sunday 9:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 12:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., with Friday and Saturday off. The fixed pay rate is $23.00 per hour. Prior sanitation experience in food service, janitorial, or maintenance work is preferred. The position is part of a campus food-service team. Work may be affected by periods when educational facilities have reduced or no food-service needs, such as winter and summer breaks. Such periods may be unpaid temporary layoffs; depending on business needs, associates may be required to work year-round, potentially at a different location during breaks. Business needs may vary from year to year.

Responsibilities
- Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers.
- Steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products.
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
- Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
