About The Position

Maintains kitchen work areas and keeps equipment and utensils clean and orderly. The position supports sanitation and safety standards and may assist with food-service setup and supply handling. The role is full time at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The schedule is full time, with days varying and hours from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM; additional details are provided upon interview. The fixed pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweep and mop floors to comply with safety and sanitation standards.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food preparation surfaces.
Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Assist with banquet table and front-of-house setup.
Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
Comply with outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
