About The Position
The Dockside Bar & Grill Food Service Assistant is a key position within the Food Service Department, supporting Restaurant Operations. This role involves working closely with managers and co-workers to ensure customers have an exceptional experience, whether shopping or dining. The company emphasizes becoming the Best in Food Service and The Freshest Foods, starting with each customer interaction. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to these company strategies. Multiple individuals are being hired for this role, specifically for the Dishwasher position. Food Service Support will perform a variety of duties in various Food Service departments, which can vary daily based on business needs, including off-site catered events.
Requirements
- Minimum 16 years of age
- You may occasionally be required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
- You will need manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
- You don’t mind our kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise

Responsibilities
- Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned promptly after customers leave
- Great and Seat guests when needed
- Assist with mentoring new employees
- Ensure the dining room is spotless – table, floors, walls – everything
- Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
- Wash all dirty dishes and put them away in their assigned areas
- Put away daily deliveries
- Maintain a spotless area and assist with cleaning as needed in BOH
- Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
