About The Position

The Buehler’s Food Service Assistant is a key position within the Food Service Department, with the opportunity to support Restaurant Operations. This role involves working closely with management and colleagues to ensure customers have an exceptional experience while shopping in the store or dining in the restaurant. The company's strategies are to become the Best in Food Service and The Freshest Foods, starting with each meal or shopping trip. Food Service Support performs a variety of duties in various Food Service departments, which can vary daily based on business needs, including off-site catered events.

Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Occasionally required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
• Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives
• Willingness to work in an environment with heat, steam, fire and noise
• Dependable, reliable and flexible with your schedule to accommodate customer demand
• Ability to accommodate staffing needs during store hours including the ability to work weekends

Responsibilities

• Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned promptly after customers leave
• Great and Seat guests when needed
• Assist with mentoring new employees
• Ensure the dining room is spotless – table, floors, walls – everything
• Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
• Wash all dirty dishes and put them away in their assigned areas
• Put away daily deliveries
• Maintain a spotless area and assist with cleaning as needed in BOH
• Comply with sanitation requirements, health and personal hygiene standards
