About The Position
The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Home is to primarily serve the Veterans' population of Louisiana through the provision of medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity. Requirements
- No experience or training is required.
Responsibilities
- Helps with the preparation of food.
- Performs heavy manual, extensive cleaning activities.
- Set up steam lines, food carts, and special diet trays.
- Operates dishwasher and stores clean dishes.
- Practice good personal and food sanitation regulations and report unsafe conditions.
- Collect and dispose of garbage.
