About The Position

The Food Service Manager 1 position is located at McLaren Greater Lansing Hospital in Lansing, MI. This leader will be responsible for a dynamic group of employees supporting patient services. Sodexo offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Employees at our healthcare sites play a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and well-being.

Requirements

Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implement company policies.
Passion for our patients and customers to ensure our Sodexo CARES (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm and Service) behaviors are followed daily.
Strong management skills, preferably in healthcare.
Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets is a plus.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and develop service levels for the overall Patient Services Program targeted to exceed patient and customer satisfaction.
Oversee Sodexo’s Patient Dining Program and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery.
Collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience.
Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality and presentation and tray accuracy exceed Sodexo standards for Gold Checks and achieve successful regulatory inspections and audits.
Perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development.
Mentor, develop, and retain frontline staff.
Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
