About The Position

Keck’s Food Service is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage a territory in the Southern Tier Region, New York area. In this role, you will develop new business, strengthen existing customer relationships, and help customers succeed while achieving and exceeding territory sales goals. Customers include independent restaurants, bakeries, hotels, clubs, convenience stores, colleges and universities, retail foodservice operations, and regional chains.

Requirements

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and sales skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements, including a drug screen, background check, and physical capabilities assessment.
  • Live and work within New York's Southern Tier.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in foodservice sales, bakery sales, restaurant management, operations, culinary arts, or as a chef preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business and grow existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure a high level of service and satisfaction.
  • Conduct sales presentations, process orders, introduce new products, and support current collections.
  • Identify and qualify prospects aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend products and solutions that support their business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, product innovations, and industry best practices to provide value-added recommendations.
  • Prepare and conduct business reviews with key accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Maintain accurate and timely sales reports, account documentation, and customer records.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collection activities as needed.
  • Represent Keck’s Food Service professionally within the community and customer base.
  • Attend sales meetings, company events, and customer functions.
  • Travel throughout the Southern Tier Region using a personal vehicle.
