About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 3 to assist with managing a large food and nutrition program at the Mukilteo School District located in Everett, WA. The selected candidate will work with the food service director to implement and maintain Sodexo programs/systems/procedures. He or she will oversee day-to-day food service operations and food production within the district’s primary schools. Requirements

  • Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Culinary production experience.
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Passion for a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years minimum management experience.
  • 1 year minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a K-12 environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring high-quality food, exceptional customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Train, coach, and develop frontline staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, administrators, and vendors.
  • Manage ordering, purchasing, and inventory controls to maintain product availability and cost efficiency.
  • Support menu development with nutritious, appealing, and cost-effective offerings.
  • Coordinate catering services and special events, ensuring timely execution and quality presentation.
  • Enforce safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and purchasing to support operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards, NSLP/USDA regulations, and all applicable food service guidelines.
