About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 to join their food service team at Frederick Living, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Zieglerville, Pennsylvania. This Food Service Manager will oversee the dining room operations for approximately 140 healthcare residents (skilled/PC, Memory Care). The role will primarily focus on front of house operations but will assist with kitchen operations as needed. The Food Service Manager will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 30 hourly employees. Strong customer service and hospitality skills are essential. The typical shift is 10:30 am - 7:00 pm, with potential variations including alternating weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Strong customer service focus and leadership skills
Previous supervisory experience with the ability to work collaboratively
Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
SERV Safe certified
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrate professional communication skills
Passion for a high level of customer service
Ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team
Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Demonstrate working knowledge of diet software management and/or is proficient in computer skills
Minimum 1 year of management experience
High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
