About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a dynamic Food Service Manager to lead food and beverage operations at Vinson Hall, a Life Plan Community located in McLean, Virginia. This role requires a hospitality-driven professional with strong front-of-house leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and training staff. A background in restaurants or country clubs is highly preferred. The typical shift is 11:00 am - 8:00 pm, with potential for every other weekend coverage. The position focuses on delivering high-quality resident dining operations, managing a team, ensuring resident satisfaction, achieving financial targets, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.

Requirements

Previous restaurant management experience.
The ability to manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrate professional communication skills.
A passion for a high level of customer service.
The ability to drive employee success to enhance the value of the food and nutrition team.
The ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Minimum 1 year of management experience.

Nice To Haves

Background in restaurants or country clubs is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Have oversight of daily front of house operations for the main dining room and bistro.
Manage a front-of-house team of approximately 20 staff members, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
Deliver high quality resident dining operations.
Do rounding with residents to ensure satisfaction.
Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.
Ensure Sodexo standards are met.
