About The Position
This position is a temporary, 10-month role for a Food Service Employee. The employee will be responsible for various food preparation and service duties, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization within the food service area. The role requires the ability to work efficiently in different temperature conditions and follow instructions accurately. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Basic skills in reading, record keeping, and arithmetic required.
- Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to work rapidly and efficiently in a wide range of temperature conditions.
- Ability to follow written recipes and oral instruction.
- Knowledge of principles of sanitation and kitchen safety.
- Ability to work effectively with school personnel and students.
- Knowledge of and ability to work with a variety of chemicals and other agents.
- Ability to do heavy work (lift and carry approximately 50 pounds) on hard flooring for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work while standing for extended period.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- Cook, food handling and/or cashier experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares food.
- Participates in food handling from preparation to serving.
- Collects money and/or meal tickets.
- Cleans of equipment, utensils, and designated areas.
- Receives and stores food supplies.
- Regular on time attendance.
