Food Service Coordinator

About The Position

This position leads meal service at MCHC and supports the management team at Munson Medical Center-OMH. It is a working-leader role that coordinates food operations and service employees while also performing day-to-day assignments. The coordinator communicates policies and procedures clearly, supports a safe work environment, monitors productivity, and helps ensure customer satisfaction with food quality, service, and problem resolution. The position is PRN and works the day shift.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in the institutional food service industry.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead meal service at MCHC and support the management team at Munson Medical Center-OMH.
Communicate policies and procedures in a manner fellow employees can readily understand.
Coordinate activities of workers and service employees engaged in food operations.
Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all facility employees.
Assist in monitoring employee productivity and suggest ways to increase service or productivity.
Assist with supervising day-to-day activities of subordinates and assign responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
Orient and train employees.
Perform day-to-day assignments in addition to lead duties.
Work with customers to ensure satisfaction with quality, service, and problem resolution.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
