About The Position

The Food Service Coordinator leads meal service at MCHC and supports the management team at Munson Medical Center-OMH. This working-leader role coordinates food operations and service employees while also completing day-to-day assignments. The coordinator communicates policies and procedures clearly, supports a safe work environment, monitors productivity, helps supervise and assign work, and orients and trains employees. The role also works with customers to address quality, service, and problem-resolution needs, and includes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of progressively more responsible experience in the institutional food service industry.

Supervisory or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Lead meal service at MCHC and support the management team at Munson Medical Center-OMH.
Coordinate activities of workers and service employees engaged in food operations.
Communicate policies and procedures in a manner employees can readily understand.
Assist in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in monitoring employee productivity and suggest ways to improve service or productivity.
Assist with supervising day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigning responsibility for specific work or functional activities.
Orient and train employees.
Perform day-to-day assignments in addition to lead duties.
Work with customers to ensure satisfaction with quality and service and to resolve problems.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
