About The Position

MHA in Ulster County, Inc. seeks a full-time Food Service Coordinator to work with the Program Director of Wellness Services to develop and coordinate food programs within the Clubhouse structure and psychiatric rehabilitation model. The position is 35 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday schedule: Monday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Tuesday 8:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Wednesday through Friday 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Afternoon times may be slightly flexible based on order deliveries. The position may start as early as December 1. Pay is $21.70 per hour.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and two years of relevant food-industry experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant food-industry experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with adults in the mental health or OPWDD fields is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interface with internal and external related departments, companies, and agencies as needed.
• Ensure quality assurance standards are maintained and all regulations are met.
• Develop nutritious menus weekly or monthly.
• Meet and maintain all Board of Health regulations.
• Shop for and order supplies for the program from Hannaford and Sysco.
• Maintain clean and organized food storage areas and ensure food items have not expired.
• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and Tuesday dinners.
• Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry.
• Work with participants and teach groups related to cooking and nutrition.
