About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Food Service Coordinator for their Fort Wayne, IN location. This role supports the head chef in all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, cleaning, and stocking. The coordinator is responsible for maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all supplies are replenished, and adhering to food storage, labeling, and safety regulations. Collaboration with the BHT team for efficient meal preparation, service, and cleanup is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

• Any relevant experience/ training necessary to serve as professional chef
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to collaborate and work efficiently
• Comprehensive understanding of health and sanitation laws

Responsibilities

• Support head chef in all aspects of food preparation (cooking, cleaning, stocking etc.)
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and function through consistent washing and tidying
• Keep kitchen organized and stocked by replenishing all supplies when running low
• Follow all food storage policies, labeling protocol, and food safety regulations
• Collaborate with BHT team for efficient meal preparation, service, and cleanup
