The Food Service Associate is responsible for portioning and plating food before and during tray-line service, performing all tray-line tasks to ensure patient satisfaction. This role also involves various functions to ensure timely, accurate, and courteous delivery and pick-up of patient trays and nourishments. Additionally, the associate will prepare food items such as gelatin, custard, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, and maintain sanitation standards for all dishes, equipment, and patient floor kitchens to meet health code standards.
