About The Position
Support staff position responsible for preparing or assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of a variety of foods in an elementary or secondary school food service program. This position is at Renaissance Academy for Arts & Sciences (K–12), 4480 Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, FL 34744. The schedule is 3.75 hours per day.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to take oral and written instructions, follow through efficiently, and work well with others.
- Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation and equipment used in quantity food preparation.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and up to 55 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to withstand a wide range of temperatures, including hot, non-air-conditioned environments and freezers.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment.
