About The Position

To prepare, cook, and serve meals for clients and staff and to maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area. To ensure kitchen and dining area are stocked and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Cook meals for staff and clients per planned menu, with good presentation.
  • Consistently maintain excellent sanitary conditions.
  • Keep appropriate records as instructed.
  • Follow proper food service regulations.
  • Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained for kitchen and dining room areas.
  • Serve meals and clean dining area after meal periods.
  • Clean kitchen areas to maintain regulated sanitary conditions.
  • Assist in restocking, rotating, and keeping track of inventory of food and supplies.
  • Maintain food storage and temperature charts.
  • Ensure excellent and friendly customer service is provided to all staff and clientele.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process by identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Attends and participates in administrative/staff/committee meetings/trainings as required and assigned by agency.
  • Within departmental parameters, exhibits customer service, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Effectively prioritizes and coordinates job tasks for maximum productivity.
  • Facilitates other projects/staff as assigned.
  • Planning for special events; meetings, activities, and parties.
  • Monitor special dietary needs of clients.
