About The Position

The Food Service Aide maintains general cleanliness of the entire department, including the kitchen, storage, and public areas, as well as equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring a sanitary and efficient food service operation within the hospital.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalency (required)
• Customer service oriented
• Effectively communicates with customers, clients and management.
• Able to work with minimal supervision or alone.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining general cleanliness of entire department including kitchen, storage and public areas and equipment.
• Sanitation and maintenance of dish room and dish machine.
• Dish and pot washing and storage.
• Proper storage and rotation of all foods and nonfoods delivered to the facility.
• Assists with patient and cafeteria meal service, set up and break down as needed.
• Responsible for the record keeping of dish machine temperatures.
• Follows management/supervisory direction to ensure smooth operation and quality control.
