About The Position

The Food Server is responsible for acknowledging guests in a friendly and timely manner, taking orders, recommending food choices, and presenting food. This role also involves assisting in clearing tables, cleaning workstations, and maintaining positive guest relations. The server must have knowledge of special events and promotional activities. The position reports to the Restaurant Supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to work shifts as scheduled.
• Ability to use tea and coffee machines.
• Ability to read and write simple instructions.
• Knowledge of Alcohol Beverage Control laws, health regulations, and personal protective equipment.
• Public relations skills.
• Ability to obtain and hold a Louisiana Responsible Vendor's card.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a Calcasieu Parish Bar card.
• Must be able to obtain and hold a valid gaming license.
• Ability to obtain and hold any and all licenses, certifications, insurance coverage or any other indemnifications which may be required by the company for the successful completion of the duties associated with this position.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• One to three years’ experience in food service preferred.
• Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledging guests in a friendly and timely manner.
• Verifying method of payment for alcohol beverage service.
• Taking orders from patrons, recommending food choices, and presenting food.
• Assisting in clearing tables, transporting dirty dishes and linen by a bus cart.
• Cleaning workstation and wait stand at end of shift.
• Regular and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Developing and maintaining positive guest relations, including resolving minor guest disputes and assisting in ensuring the safety and security of all guests and employees.
• Knowledge of all special events and promotional activities available to guests.
• Other duties as assigned.
