About The Position

The Sports Grill Food Server is responsible for taking Guest orders, serving food and beverages and ensuring a positive dining experience. They should provide excellent Guest service, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with kitchen and other service Team Members. Effective communication, multitasking, and a positive attitude are crucial for success in this role. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Sports Grill Assistant Manager.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, attentiveness, and a friendly demeanor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Guests and Team Members, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple tables, take orders, serve food and beverages, and handle payments efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to address Guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of one (1) year serving experience in a full-service restaurant is required.
  • Current Food Handler certification and RBS certificate required or ability to acquire one (employer will provide upon hire).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a high-volume, fine dining, or upscale restaurant is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Greeting Guests, taking orders, offering menu suggestions, and addressing any Guest concerns or requests.
  • Serving food and drinks to Guests, ensuring accuracy and presentation and checking on their satisfaction during the meal.
  • Entering orders into the POS (point-of-sale) system, processing payments, and handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Setting tables, clearing plates and glassware as needed and ensuring a clean and organized dining area.
  • Collaborating with other Team Members, including hosts, server assistants, bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensuring a professional and presentable appearance, reflecting the restaurant's dining standards.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
