The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is seeking a Food Safety Program Manager to provide consultative services to county health departments. This role involves conducting food safety and environmental health inspections, complaint investigations, training and standardization of sanitarians, providing Food Code interpretations, and overseeing Cottage Food registrations. The position will inspect various state-licensed facilities including prisons, children's camps, behavioral health facilities, public schools, trailer parks, bottled water manufacturers, food manufacturing establishments, warehouses, and marijuana facilities. Experience in architectural plan review for new and remodeled establishments is preferred. The successful candidate must hold a Registered Sanitarian (R.S.) credential or equivalent. This role will manage several Food Safety Programs, potentially including the Cottage Food Program and the Marijuana Kitchen Program, and will support other Food Safety Programs.
