About The Position

FoodShare is seeking a Food Rx Senior Coordinator to take the lead on an innovative program bringing food equity to life. The Food Rx Senior Coordinator will oversee program operations, participant engagement, team supervision, budget management, and key partnerships with UHN. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in community-based work and is committed to food justice.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years experience in community-led food projects, neighbourhood-based community organizing and/or working with grassroots organizations.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience managing community-based program logistics, including scheduling, participant coordination, and service delivery.
  • Minimum 2+ years experience managing partnerships and working collaboratively with external stakeholders, and/or institutional organizations.
  • Minimum 1+ year experience with budget tracking, expense reconciliation, invoice preparation, or financial administration.
  • Demonstrated commitment to principles of food justice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a diverse community (people of different ages, abilities, cultural backgrounds, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project demands, set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience with coordinating research, data collection, and basic data analysis.
  • Experience with program coordination involving multi-site projects.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with G-Suite in (Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, Gmail, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise two Community Learning and Engagement (CLE) facilitators and work collaboratively with the broader CLE team to plan, coordinate, and deliver the Food Rx project.
  • Engage up to 1000 Food Rx project participants through registration, intake, and ongoing project relations.
  • Independently oversee produce box orders and/or prepped meal deliveries to selected Food Rx project participants by coordinating the project participant roster and delivery logistics.
  • Coordinate and co-lead the delivery of hands-on community-based food programming at 90 Dunn for project participants, in collaboration with CLE facilitators.
  • Lead engagement through regular check-ins with Food Rx project participants through in-person conversations and phone calls, administer surveys throughout the project period, manage data entry, and provide data reporting support.
  • Prepare reports, and oversee the full project reporting cycle, managing and maintaining program information and documentation.
  • Coordinate program budget of ~$650,000 in partnership with CLE Manager and UHN coordination team, tracking expenses in real time for the project, and preparing invoices for UHN on a quarterly basis for services provided.
  • Act as the main point of contact between FoodShare and UHN throughout the project period, leading cross-organizational co-planning and program delivery.
  • Represent Foodshare publicly regarding media inquiries and news stories about the Food Rx project.
  • Autonomously lead promotion, outreach, and information-sharing to raise awareness and community engagement about the Food Rx project.
  • Participate in FoodShare staff meetings, all staff training, and handle other duties as assigned.
