About The Position

Terravita Country Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, is hiring a part-time Food Runner for its fast-paced hospitality operation. The Food Runner prepares and maintains dining-room service items and workstations, coordinates food from the kitchen to guests, and supports servers and other dining-room operations. The position requires one month of related experience or training, professionalism, cleanliness, neatness, and reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operations.
Know the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed to deliver food.
Organize plates in the kitchen window and match them to tickets before running food to tables.
Set tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as specified on its ticket; consult the chef before delivery if an item does not meet the specification.
Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
Clear dishes from in front of guests when they complete a course.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, placing chairs at tables, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Assist servers when needed.
Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
