About The Position

Oakmont Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is essential to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our distinguished members and their guests. The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food from the kitchen to dining areas rapidly, accurately, and with the highest standards of presentation and professionalism.

• Ability to frequently lift objects up to 25lbs and skillfully carry food trays.

• Exceptional communication skills to ensure effective coordination in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble food and accompaniments on trays by procuring items from each kitchen station for both à la carte and banquet service.
• Deliver trays of prepared dishes and accompaniments from the kitchen to designated dining areas with precision and efficiency.
• Transport soiled dishes, silverware, and glassware from dining areas to the dish area in the kitchen.
• Expedite orders by ensuring proper plating, presentation, accuracy, and timely delivery of all food items.
• Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless and accurate service for members and guests.
• Support kitchen operations by assisting the expediter and maintaining cleanliness and organization in service areas, including: Hot Line Cold Line Coffee Station Water Station Service Station Expo & Server Reach-In Coolers
• Assist with buffet and banquet operations, including event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Attend all pre-shift meetings and arrive “Member Ready”: punctual, prepared, hygienic, and service-focused.
• Complete all opening, during-shift, and closing side work as assigned by leadership.
• Promptly report any member or guest issues, concerns, or suggestions to leadership.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, including responsible food handling and service practices.
