About The Position

King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott is hiring a full-time Food Runner to help create memorable guest experiences and share the aloha spirit. The role is responsible for promptly setting and clearing tables, assisting with table service, and keeping dining and public areas tidy. Applicants aged 16 or older are welcome. The rate of pay is $18.09.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
TB clearance card required.
Ability to communicate in English with guests, management, and team members so they can understand.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and make good judgments.
Dependability.

Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Deliver guests’ food orders to the service floor and serve them to the correct guests at their tables; refill water glasses.
Promptly clear items from tables after guests finish and prepare tables for arriving guests.
Restock utensils and bus stations.
Tidy dining and public areas and complete side work to prepare the station for the next shift.
Maintain cleanliness of bus stations, drains, and ice bins.
Assist other team members and departments to support the performance of the department, restaurant, and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
