About The Position

As a Food Runner, you will be an essential part of our front-of-house team. Your primary responsibility is to deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area while ensuring that each order is accurate and beautifully presented. You will work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and other front-of-house team members to provide an excellent dining experience for our guests.

Requirements

Must be able to multitask in order to ensure members get their orders promptly
Will have to possess a high degree of organizational skills to easily locate tables and bar patrons to fulfill everyone’s orders
Needs excellent communication skills to ensure they meet members’ requests.
Be able to communicate with the members whether it’s checking on their satisfaction or taking an impromptu request.
Ability to remain on their feet for several hours straight.
Additionally, should be able to carry about 35 pounds easily.

Responsibilities

Prepare mise-en-place for expediter line
Possess full menu knowledge and ability to verbal it to the guests
Possess knowledge of floor plan and daily stations
Possess knowledge of table numbers and seat numbers
Follow proper service procedures when delivering food
Communicate with server to ensure efficient service
Assist servers and bussers when necessary
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the floor manager or immediate supervisor
Be able to carry large tray and hold warm plates
Be able to lift & carry trays
Assist other FOH staff to perform setting up restaurant, cleaning restaurant, bussing tables, running food, taking food orders, making cocktails, serving guests, assisting host staff and opening and serving wine, when needed
Other duties as assigned
Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements
Must be able to read, write and speak English
