About The Position

We are seeking an A.M. Food Runner to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Stir Food Runner will be for servicing guests, assisting with functions of server, and delivering food to guest tables according to hotel specification, courteously and efficiently. This role will also assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment, while providing lateral service when necessary. This role is designated for our restaurant, Stir.

Requirements

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, management and co-workers to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.
  • Ability to perform physical responsibilities, including lifting and transporting items of varying weights, with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to understand guest’s service needs.
  • Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration and think clearly when providing service to several guests within any given period of time.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Service guests.
  • Assist with functions of a server.
  • Deliver food to guest tables according to hotel specification, courteously and efficiently.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
  • Provide lateral service when necessary.
  • Transport food items to the bar, dining room, and lounge in a timely manner.
  • Check the food chit and serve food to guests without asking.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set up and dress code of the restaurant.
  • Expedite food items coming out from the exhibition kitchen line and the heart of the house.
  • Inspect chinaware for cleanliness (i.e., Finger smudges, spots and sauce spills).
  • Deliver food items to tables in a timely manner.
  • Present food to guests with correct items without asking.
