About The Position

Oaklawn is seeking a talented individual to become a Food Runner. This role is responsible for setting tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils to ensure guests have a high-quality dining experience. The Food Runner will maintain a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort, contributing to a new level of excitement for guests and Team Members. The position requires punctuality, the ability to work overtime, and a commitment to upholding the company's core values and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set tables, serve food orders, and remove used dishes and utensils.
  • Ensure guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving food in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Present a friendly and professional image at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort.
  • Clean up spilled food, drink, and broken dishes, and remove empty bottles and trash.
  • Carry food, dishes, trays, and silverware from kitchens and supply departments to serving counters.
  • Carry trays from tables and booths with soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware to the kitchen and dishwasher.
  • Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean linens, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays.
  • Replenish supplies of food and equipment at steam tables and service bars.
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes, and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
  • Stock all areas of the venue.
  • Clean, reset, and maintain tables.
  • Maintain all equipment.
  • Assure F&B areas are maintained in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Remain up-to-date on property events and hours of operation.
  • May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
  • Cooperate and communicate with all fellow team members, exhibiting mutual respect and projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
  • Keep informed of company information and communications by participating in department meetings, huddles, and reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletters.
  • Assist other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department.

  • Punctual attendance required.
  • Ability to work required overtime.
