Kimura Ramen Cashier/Food Runner
About The Position
Kimura Ramen is hiring a Food Runner/Cashier for its neighborhood restaurant. The role includes delivering food to tables, refilling drinks, clearing tables after guests leave, and providing quick, efficient, and friendly customer service. The employee will serve beer, wine, and cocktails; describe food and beverages and answer guest questions, including questions about dietary needs and known allergies; and keep workstations, work areas, and customer-seating areas stocked, clean, and sanitized according to restaurant standards and CDC guidance. The restaurant uses a counter-service business model. The position requires TABC certification and the ability to work lunch and dinner service, weekends, and some holidays. Starting pay is guaranteed at $15 per hour and up. Employees receive a daily family meal and reimbursement for a portion of work-safe shoes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow safe food-handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Good memory to manage multiple orders and recall frequent patrons' faces, names, and preferences.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds at a time.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift, and reach overhead.
- Ability to work lunch service, dinner service, weekends, and some holidays.
- TABC certification is required for the sale and service of beer, wine, and cocktails.
