About The Position

The Food Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading and maintaining all food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and sanitation programs within the Customer Service Center (CSC). The supervisor oversees the implementation, verification, monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement of the Food Safety Management System, including HACCP plans, preventive controls, prerequisite programs, allergen management, traceability, recall readiness, sanitation programs, and associated documentation. This position serves as a key resource for operational teams, providing training, coaching, and corrective action support to ensure compliance and operational excellence. A critical component of this role is strong sanitation leadership experience. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing sanitation programs, conducting and verifying pre-operational (pre-op) inspections, evaluating sanitation effectiveness, and performing environmental monitoring activities. Experience with ATP testing, allergen verification, microbiological and environmental swabbing programs, root cause investigations, and corrective actions is highly preferred. The successful candidate will be comfortable working closely with production and sanitation teams to identify risks, drive continuous improvement, and maintain audit readiness at all times.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, Preventive Controls, GMPs, SSOPs, and food safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, customer specifications and other regulatory and corporate food safety standards.
  • Proven experience leading sanitation and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Hands-on experience conducting pre-operational inspections and sanitation verification activities.
  • Experience with ATP testing, environmental swabs, allergen swabs, trend analysis, and corrective action management.
  • Ability to train, coach, and influence cross-functional teams on food safety and quality expectations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • One to three years of related work experience required in the food safety area.
  • Proven analytical and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve budget.
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and HACCP regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combines with an aptitude for multi-tasking.
  • Be a collaborative leader who inspires, manages, coaches and respects people.
  • Knowledge of computer skills required, including use of technology (scanners, tablets, printers, copiers, etc.) and Microsoft Office programs, as well as cloud-based systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal auditing and regulatory inspection experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, engineering or related fields is preferred.
  • Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Working knowledge in Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Insert monthly data in the company web-based portal.
  • Update food safety manuals and maintain relevant documents.
