Nova Scotia Health is seeking dedicated and experienced Food Production Workers to join their Nutrition and Food Services team. This role is vital for supporting the efficient operation of healthcare facilities and contributing to exceptional patient care. As a casual Food Production Worker, you will be responsible for routine duties in meal preparation, heating/reheating food, meal service, cafeteria and catering service, and cleaning. You will ensure the delivery of quality, safe, and nutritious food according to the food service model. The position may involve working in rural settings where the Food Service Supervisor is not physically present, requiring sound professional judgment and independent thought within organizational frameworks. You will integrate and uphold Nova Scotia Health's guiding principles, including mission, vision, values, expected behaviors, leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships, and inter-professional collaboration.
