About The Position

Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking a part-time Food Preparation team member for its Hutto, Texas location. The role supports food preparation and service while helping maintain consistent premium food quality, excellent customer service, and Texas-friendly hospitality. Team members work in a servant-leadership environment focused on serving others and developing employees.

Requirements

• Food Handler Certificate required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• At least one year of food preparation or cooking experience required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for job-related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables where standardization is limited.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel items, talk or hear, and regularly reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to often lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Regular use of commercial kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare food according to business needs.
• Set up the food service line, drink station, and preparation area each day.
• Regulate production and package side items and desserts.
• Prepare and stock the line with appropriate side items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the preparation area.
