About The Position

Brock & Company is seeking a part-time Food Prep to join their team at a private school. The company is a premier provider of contract food management services, focusing on high-quality products and passionate staff. The Food Prep position is responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving hot and cold foods as directed by a supervisor, utilizing various kitchen equipment, and adhering to strict health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move food, food containers and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one’s own height.
Comprehension and compliance of both verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
Adherence to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Follow all outlined health and safety regulations with regard to equipment use and personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold foods as determined by the supervisor.
Perform specific jobs appropriate to the unit’s circumstances determined by the supervisor.
Operate and assemble various kitchen equipment including meat and cheese slicer, food processor, R-2/Robocoupe, food choppers, cutters, blenders, mixers, saute burners, convection oven, kettle steamer, warming unit, pizza oven, microwave, grill/flat top, and fryer.
Use various pots/pans, platters, dishes, hand-held utensils, knives, mops, brooms, dust pans, buckets, cleaning towels, and agents.
Comprehend and comply with verbal and written instructions from the supervisor.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Lift and move food, food containers, and other non-food items from floor position to no higher than one's own height.
Adhere to client and company protocols related to COVID-19 workplace safety and sanitation standards.
Receive, unpack, rotate, and stow deliveries per supervisor’s instruction.
Follow all outlined health and safety regulations with regard to equipment use and personal hygiene.
