About The Position

The Student Worker will provide essential support to two key areas within the college: the Food Pantry, and the Social Services Office. This position requires a responsible, organized, and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks and contribute positively to each area’s operations. The Student Worker will gain valuable experience in office administration, event support, and community service.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student at the college.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Canva.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking cupboards with delivered items for the Food Pantry.
• Help students with their pantry appointments and keep the food pantry neat and orderly.
• Track inventory, update statistics, and remove expired food items from the pantry.
• Organize and maintain storage spaces for the food pantry.
• Proactively contact students who miss appointments or who apply but don’t schedule.
• Assist with food pantry pop-ups, mobile distributions, and food drives.
• Provide assistance at on-campus events and help with setup and teardown for the Social Services Office.
• Use Canva to create flyers, announcements, and signs for events.
• Coordinate event promotion through flyer distribution and targeted marketing efforts.
