About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Food Operations Manager 2 for Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is a 136-bed, five-story facility, our fifth acute care hospital, is foundational to Penn State Health’s community access strategy designed to ensure that the communities we serve are within 10 minutes of our primary care providers, 20 minutes of our specialty care services and 30 minutes of a Penn State Health acute care hospital.

Requirements

Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills
Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
Financial ability to manage and demonstrate proven results with material costs, labor, procurement compliance and controllable expenses
Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
2 years minimum management experience
2 years minimum functional experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

Have oversight of day-to-day operations
Successfully coordinate all required tasks through subordinate managers, supervisors and frontline staff
Deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations
Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
Develop and maintain client and customer relationships (i.e., comfortable in c-suite settings where communication skills are imperative when serving as top level site management)
Ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance
Have daily interaction with patients, their families and clinical team to ensure patient satisfaction
