Sodexo is seeking a well-rounded operations enthusiast to join the team as a Food Operations Manager 2 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC. This is an 81-bed acute care facility that supports patient services, catering, and our retail café. Requirements

  • Contract foodservice management experience in a healthcare environment
  • Culinary production experience
  • Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
  • Ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations
  • Working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Can manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills
  • A passion for a high level of customer service
  • Optimistic attitude with an enthusiastic and energetic personality
  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a team of 20 and all aspects of the food service operation
  • Responsible for purchasing, weekly financials, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting
  • Ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals
