About The Position

This position maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the food service department. Responsibilities include working in all areas of food service, such as dishwashing, food delivery, and tray assembly, as well as assisting with special functions. The role requires adherence to all health and safety guidelines established by food service regulations.

Requirements

Supervisory Experience
Knowledge in a program or application (food service, inventory system, yields, portion control and cost control)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Prior experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Capacity to learn and perform all aspects of the food service department to include tray line, food prep, and sanitation in a safe and efficient manner.
The ability to read, write and follow specific instructions.
The ability to operate a variety of kitchen equipment used in food preparation.
The ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Aptitude to work as a contributing team member.
The ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold).
The ability to assist with orientation and training of new food service employees as directed.
Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
