About The Position

The Food Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring every order leaving the kitchen is accurate, timely, and up to Torchy’s standards. The role maintains the flow between the kitchen and runners so guests receive high-quality food.

Requirements

• Meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s certification; obtain certification by the first day or within the timeline required by the location.
• Be able to stand for several hours.
• Be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach for objects on shelves at various heights.
• Be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Serve guests’ needs with a high sense of urgency.
• Be able to have fun.

Responsibilities

• Verify tickets against food orders, double-check modifications, and ensure dishes meet Torchy’s quality standards.
• Record and communicate ticket times to keep kitchen and service operations flowing efficiently.
• Involve a manager when an order includes an allergy or is complicated, supporting guest safety and satisfaction.
• Portion salsas on sheet pans according to the prep sheet and accurately record yields.
• Label, date, and correctly fill pans for all produced food items.
• Set up stations according to the diagram with appropriate backups for the shift.
• Break down and clean stations for the next shift, restocking when necessary.
• Keep the kitchen and station clean and organized; detail kitchen equipment daily and perform line sweeps.
• Prepare chips and dips in ticket order to ensure freshness and quality.
