About The Position

The Food Expeditor acts as the primary liaison between kitchen staff and servers, ensuring accurate and timely order execution. This role involves reviewing tickets for accuracy, modifications, and special requests, and organizing/prioritizing orders during high-volume service periods. The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring all dishes meet presentation, portion, and quality standards before leaving the kitchen, and communicating clearly with chefs, line cooks, and service staff to resolve any delays or discrepancies. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the expo line and service window, assisting with garnishing and plating, and monitoring ticket times to support service benchmarks are also key functions. The role requires upholding all food safety, sanitation, and company policies, including the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching, bending
  • Knowledge of kitchen and storage areas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on presentation and accuracy
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred
  • Expediting or line experience a plus

  • Participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions
  • Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
