About The Position

Join the Egg Harbor Cafe in Highlands Ranch, CO, as a food/drink runner on our "Hospitality Support Team." This fun and fast-paced role is crucial for ensuring smooth and efficient shifts. As part of the Hospitality Support Team, which also includes hosts, baristas, and bussers, you will enhance the guest experience by supporting front-of-house servers. Your duties will involve making and delivering drinks, delivering food, assisting guests, clearing tables, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Egg Harbor is dedicated to building a strong base of regular customers by upholding our standard of excellence, providing a warm, family-friendly atmosphere, and serving a diverse menu. Your role is integral to our goal of being the top choice for dining out. You'll work collaboratively with a team, engaging in new and inspiring interactions daily, ensuring both you and our customers leave feeling fulfilled and eager to return. Our shifts start and end early, with no night work, and the restaurant closes at 2 PM. While we offer flexible scheduling, please note that our busiest days are weekends and holidays. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. We seek individuals who are team-oriented, responsible, trustworthy, prompt, reliable, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the efficient flow of food and drink orders from the wait staff to the kitchen
• Check receipts and assemble the order for the guest
• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority and alert management to quality issues or long wait times
• Ensure that the food and drink presentation is fresh and up to quality standards
• Assist in the final plate or drink presentation (e.g. adding condiments and/or toppings)
• Check dishes/drinks before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
• Deliver orders quickly to customers to maintain fast service
• Communicate important information to the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
• Keep Runner/Expo area clean and well stocked
• Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines, or dishwashing
• Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards, and assist in cleaning
• Maintain working area is safe and clean; sweep/mop as needed
• Handle complaints from customers to preserve the restaurant’s reputation of providing excellent customer service
• Support other tasks as needed (i.e., organizing and bagging to-go orders)
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Perform opening/closing and on shift side work and maintenance properly
