About The Position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operation of the restaurant, bar, and food & beverage outlets by leading frontline team members during assigned shifts. This role is responsible for maintaining service standards, supporting guest satisfaction, ensuring operational readiness, and serving as a resource for team members throughout service. The Food & Beverage Supervisor works closely with management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations while fostering a positive and engaging guest experience. This position serves as an entry-level leadership role and provides a development path toward Floor Manager and future management opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • Strong guest service and hospitality mindset.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to motivate frontline employees.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed during high-volume operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and support operational consistency.
  • Team-oriented approach with a commitment to collaboration and accountability.
  • Basic computer and POS system proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lead, trainer, captain, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification preferred.
  • Experience in lifestyle hospitality, nightlife, hotel food & beverage, or upscale dining environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily food and beverage operations and assist in maintaining service excellence throughout assigned shifts.
  • Lead by example through professional appearance, hospitality, teamwork, and guest engagement.
  • Supervise frontline team members including servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and support staff as assigned.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and side work procedures to ensure operational readiness.
  • Monitor dining room, bar, and guest areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards.
  • Address guest concerns and requests promptly, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Communicate operational updates, guest needs, and service concerns to management.
  • Assist in training and onboarding new team members.
  • Reinforce service standards, policies, and procedures through ongoing coaching and support.
  • Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and adherence to workplace standards.
  • Support inventory controls and communicate supply or product shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities to team members.
  • Assist management with special events, large parties, promotions, and high-volume service periods.
  • Complete assigned reports, checklists, and shift documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
