Job SummaryLocation: National Geographic Museum, Washington, DC Description: Oversee all food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards Manage daily front-of-house and back-of-house coordination to ensure seamless service Lead, train, and develop team members across dining, concessions, and events Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu planning, pricing, and product offerings Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships to support operational needs Analyze financial performance, including labor and cost controls, to meet business goals Enhance the guest experience by implementing service standards and operational improvements

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in food & beverage or hospitality management
  • Proven experience managing high-volume dining, events, or venue operations
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to lead, train, and manage diverse teams
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred
