About The Position

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel, managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking an experienced and service-driven Seasonal Food & Beverage Manager to lead and support our Food & Beverage operations during our peak seasonal period. This position is responsible for the daily operations of our restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service, as applicable. The Food & Beverage Manager provides hands-on leadership, ensures exceptional guest experience, maintains high standards of service and sanitation, and supports the financial success of the department. The seasonal assignment will run from December 1 through May 1. At the conclusion of the seasonal assignment, there may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to continue with Pyramid Global Hospitality in a Task Force Food & Beverage leadership role from May 1 through September 1, supporting other properties and operational needs within the organization. Permanent opportunities may also become available based on business needs, performance, and availability. The ideal candidate is an energetic hospitality professional who enjoys being visible on the floor, developing associates, creating memorable guest experiences, and supporting hotel operations in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Previous Food & Beverage management experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant, bar, banquet, and/or room service operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong guest service mindset with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to coach, develop, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial information and make sound business decisions.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Willingness to participate in Task Force assignments from May 1 through September 1, if selected for the opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily operations for restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service, as applicable.
  • Supervise, coach, and support Food & Beverage associates and leaders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all Food & Beverage positions and be prepared to step in and assist during high-demand periods.
  • Ensure service, cleanliness, sanitation, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Review staffing levels and schedules to ensure guest service needs, operational requirements, and financial objectives are met.
  • Monitor daily operations and adjust staffing and resources as business levels change.
  • Assist with menu planning, product quality, presentation, and overall outlet execution.
  • Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Monitor alcohol service and ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Support proper cash handling, inventory control, purchasing, and cost management practices.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate Marriott and Pyramid Global Hospitality standards of professionalism, integrity, and genuine hospitality.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Build trust, respect, and strong working relationships with associates and leadership.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and complaints.
  • Empower associates to resolve guest concerns and exceed expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Incorporate guest feedback and satisfaction results into departmental meetings and action plans.
  • Maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout all Food & Beverage outlets.
  • Ensure special requests and guest preferences are handled with care and attention to detail.
  • Support the achievement of Food & Beverage revenue, labor, and profitability goals.
  • Monitor labor levels and productivity to align with business volume.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and product controls.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality and minimize waste.
  • Review operational results and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support departmental forecasting, budgeting, and financial objectives.
  • Ensure operational decisions balance exceptional guest service with sound financial performance.
  • Successfully complete the seasonal assignment from December 1 through May 1.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, associates, and other departments by phone, email, written communication, and in person.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to make sound operational decisions.
  • Assist with special events, banquets, group functions, and high-volume periods.
  • Maintain strong communication with Culinary, Front Office, Sales, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments.
  • Support hotel-wide initiatives and operational priorities.
  • Participate in meetings, training programs, and leadership initiatives.
  • Maintain a professional presence and positive attitude while representing the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel and Pyramid Global Hospitality.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
