About The Position

Under the supervision of the Shift Manager, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities of Food and Beverage Operation(s) or Bar Operations on a shift basis while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. This position may be held by Servers, Bartenders, and Host/Hostesses and is considered to be a progressive line position.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year food and beverage experience with Supervisory experience being an asset
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Experience in POS system
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through Independent Gambling Control Office (if required)
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication

Responsibilities

  • Monitors outlet(s) operations on a shift basis and reports issues to F & B management
  • Performs a server, bartender or host/hostess role in a lead capacity
  • Completes shift reports at the end of each shift
  • Assists with month end inventories
  • Works on special initiatives as delegated by F & B management
  • Deals directly with guests with regards to feedback opportunities and provide menu feedback to Culinary team
  • Assists with Performance Reviews as necessary
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
