About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for accurate and efficient inventory control of all Food & Beverage products that supply the Food & Beverage (F&B) Department. Maintains and stocks all F&B related inventory at various locations and venues within the casino. Additionally, this individual will assist in procurement practices and product receiving as well as internal transfers and overall storage of assets and product and cleanliness as it relates to safety and sanitation.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a storeroom/inventory control operation required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Must be able to obtain a food handlers card within 30 days of hire.
  • Must obtain a forklift certification within 90 days from day of hiring.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word is required.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated coolers and freezer environments.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the delivery of Food & Beverage products from vendors for all F&B areas and maintains accurate and efficient daily inventory levels of these products and supplies
  • Monitors received products and supplies to ensure quantities are accurate and quality meets established standards and specifications
  • Maintains and submits all required paperwork to accounting.
  • Monitors inventory daily to ensure adequate supplies are on hand to meet projected needs based on established par levels
  • Ensures all items are received, rotated, stored, and issued in accordance with First-In-First-Out (FIFO) operational standards
  • Recommends changes to par levels based on changes in inventory usage to ensure adequate supply on hand while minimizing waste
  • Performs monthly physical product inventory on last day of every month
  • Properly dates & ensures products are correctly labeled during receiving
  • Delivers products to internal locations as required & attains any signatures needed to ensure proper documentation.
  • Accountable for reporting of safety violations & or of any real/personal property damage
  • Reviews catering/banquet event forms and menus with leadership
  • Ensures requisitions forms are completed specific to products needed for food specials
  • Communicates with F & B leadership on concerns on any delivery shortages or miss-picks
  • Restocks Food & Beverage inventory in all F&B areas as needed to avoid depletion of product
  • Cleans, prepares, and organizes all food & beverage storage areas as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department
  • Follows Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), Tribal Gaming Agency regulations, health department requirements, and casino policies.
