About The Position

Woodbury Group is hiring a full-time Food and Beverage Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Orem. The manager oversees food and beverage operations, including kitchen preparation and front-of-house presentation, and is responsible for staff development and supervision, menu planning, food quality, safety, sanitation, and revenue. The position requires weekend and/or holiday availability and the ability to cover shifts as needed. Compensation is $50,000 per year.

Requirements

At least 2 years of combined hotel and restaurant management experience, along with banquet experience.
Completion of a culinary degree, program, or certificate.
At least 3 years of experience directly related to the listed food and beverage responsibilities.
Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays and cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Train and manage back-of-the-house food and beverage preparation staff and front-of-the-house food and beverage presentation staff.
Estimate food and beverage consumption and purchase supplies as needed.
May be responsible for the property liquor license and related licensing requirements.
Select and develop recipes and standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
Establish presentation techniques and quality standards.
Plan and price menus.
Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, safety, and sanitation.
Prepare meals as needed and may oversee special catering events.
Hire, discipline, and manage the performance of subordinate staff.
Maximize sales and revenue for food and beverage operations.
Respond promptly to guests’ needs and demonstrate a commitment to satisfying every guest.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
