About The Position

The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for driving product and maintaining a culture of luxury service by circulating the restaurant floor, continually checking in with guests and service staff to ensure satisfaction. This role involves facilitating the training, supervision, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all direct reports. The manager will handle guest concerns promptly and professionally, and monitor and supervise the set-up and maintenance of all aspects of the restaurant, ensuring that standards are consistently exceeded. Additionally, the position requires organizing and building a professional work environment, assisting with recruitment and training of teammates, and managing overall profit and loss statements. The role includes organizing and conducting pre-shift departmental meetings, ensuring par stock levels are maintained, completing production reports, and providing direct service to guests as needed. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Previous experience as a Food & Beverage Manager in an upscale or luxury hotel operation required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products required.
  • Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages required.
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for up to 10 hours at a time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, and climbing.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct service to guests as needed by serving, bussing tables, and seating guests.
  • Ensure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies.
