About The Position

Under immediate direction, the Folder performs production-line tasks including inspecting, packing, palletizing, loading, unloading, lifting, and moving production materials. The role supports product quality and production standards while keeping the production area clean and safe and following company policies.

Requirements

Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable and self-driven.
Good communication skills.
Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear.
Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, normally at waist level and sometimes at shoulder level.
Required vision abilities include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Continuously stand; occasionally walk, reach and work above shoulders, bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist or rotate the body, and drive a pallet jack.
Able to work in loud industrial environments commonly found at plants and around powered equipment, and in temperatures ranging from hot and humid to very cold.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure products meet customer specifications and company production and quality standards.
Monitor the production line for equipment malfunctions and product defects.
Unpack and load raw materials into equipment; unload work in progress or finished product and move materials to and from equipment.
Inspect and spread product by hand on a moving conveyor belt to ensure consistency.
Move and palletize finished packaged product from production lines and verify code dates and labels.
Stock and restock boxes, skids, and liners for the current and next shifts as needed.
Rotate into any line position as needed to cover absences, breaks, and other staffing needs.
Notify lead or supervisory staff of unusual operations.
Perform general housekeeping in the production area and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with policy.
Comply with organizational policies, including safety, good manufacturing practices, food safety, and employment and work rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.
