About The Position

The Feeder/Folder handles, sorts, and inspects clean textiles before folding them by hand or feeding them into ironing or folding machines for final processing and packaging. This position helps ensure products meet company quality and production standards and reports to the Production Manager. The role involves processing textiles by product type, following written packing instructions, and preparing items for final distribution. Finished products are placed onto conveyors or into carts, and production activity is recorded in the Spindle productivity tracking system. This is a physically active position in the production areas of an industrial laundry facility. Work may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Recognize colors, sizes, and product types.
Counting and sorting accuracy.
Skill in inspecting and grading product quality.
Understand written packing instructions and follow verbal and written directions.

Responsibilities

Sort, inspect, and grade clean textiles removed from carts or bins to ensure they meet company quality standards.
Fold, assemble, and package textiles by hand or feed items into ironing or folding machines according to production requirements.
Process textiles by product type and follow written packing instructions to prepare items for final distribution.
Place finished products onto conveyors or into carts and move materials within the production area.
Record production activity by logging in and out of the Spindle productivity tracking system.
